Mixed Breed Cats
It's hard to know what a mixed breed cat will be like because we don't know what breeds are mixed in. A mixed breed may be very active and meow a lot, or may be very quiet and shy. They may be playful, affectionate, and get along with others, or they may not! It just isn't possible to know for sure. A mixed breed cat could have any mix of traits. One thing is for sure, though, they are ALL adorable!
Domestic Longhair
A domestic longhair has a mixed family tree and doesn't belong to any one particular breed. Their fur is medium to long, but the way they look can be very different from each other. Domestic longhair cats are the second most popular kind of cat in the United States next to the domestic shorthair. They are also known simply as house cats.
Domestic Shorthair
Like the domestic longhair, a domestic shorthair has a mixed family tree and doesn't belong to any one particular breed. They have short fur in common, but the way one shorthair looks can be very different from another. Domestic shorthair cats are the most popular kind of cat in the United States. They are also known as house cats, or alley cats.
